Tonight I was at Hastings (a local bookstore) and I saw Malcolm Gladwell’s Blink on audiobook for like $38.97. I can get 6 used versions of the paperback on Amazon for that price. Is Malcolm’s voice worth more than his skill with a pen? This whole journey to the book store actually kind of bothered me.

So you’re saying you can put Blink on a digitally enhanced tablet (Kindle) that reads like a real book and I can purchase it there for cheaper than the cost of a CD? Now I realize there are no variable or overhead costs for Kindle books but still…where’s Seth Godin to explain things like this to me when I need him?
